Younger-Looking Hands. . . A Combination Approach Is Best!

It has been said that the eyes are the window to one’s soul, but, the hands are the window to one’s true age. . . until now! Using a combination approach to hand rejuvenation, we now have the tools (and expertise) to easily restore your hands back to what they looked like years ago.

As we age, we lose volume in the backs of our hands. Because of this volume loss, our veins and tendons become more prominent and unsightly. Oftentimes, all that is needed is volume restoration with simple injections of a filler (for example Radiesse or Restylane Lyft), or even fat taken elsewhere from your own body. Filler injections are quick, easy, and relatively painless. Results are immediate and there are no limitations in your activities after the procedure. Results typically last at least one to two years.

Another option – for the unsightly veins – is sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution through a tiny needle directly into those rope-like, visible veins. After the injections, your body gradually breaks down the veins and absorbs them. We have another entire network of deeper veins within the backs of our hands, so the more superficial network (those that are visible) are actually unnecessary/superfluous. As such, removing them through sclerotherapy is a safe option.

Finally, for those brown “sun spots” (a.k.a. “liver spots”) on the backs of your hands, my clinic has also the most technologically-advanced lasers on the market to treat the brown spots and tighten the skin with little to no down-time. We also offer the most state-of-the-art chemical peels that not only help normalize your skin color (lighten the spots), but, that also tighten the skin.

Every patient is different, so I encourage you to come in and have a personalized evaluation; we can then work together to formulate the best and most cost-effective treatment plan specifically for you. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
