Before and After Photos

Thread lifts stimulate collagen building, lift and “redrape” the skin, and result in a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance. Thread lifts can be used to redrape sagging skin on the face, neck, elbows, and knees. Specifically, Dr. Kiripolsky uses thread lifts to redrape skin on the midface, contour or “snatch” the jaw, and raise the eyebrows.

Threads are made of PDO, which stands for Polydioxanone, a biodegradable polymer that is fully absorbed by the body over months, stimulating collagen production while being resorbed. These “semi-permanent” threads decrease the associated risks seen with traditional thread lifts in the past.

A thread lift is a non-surgical procedure. It involves Dr. Kiripolsky strategically inserting a needle, pre-loaded with the PDO thread, into the targeted area and immediately removing the needle, leaving the thread in the desired tissue plane. Threads can be classified into two types, “smooth” and “barbed”. Smooth threads stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen. As we age, collagen production decreases, which causes our skin to lose elasticity and look crepey. An increase in collagen will help your skin maintain its youthfulness by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin tone and texture. Barbed threads physically latch onto sagging skin to lift and tighten it into the desired aesthetic. Like smooth threads, barbed threads also increase natural collagen production. These threads can be used independently or in combination with each other for Dr. Kiripolsky to yield the best aesthetic result.
