FAQ
What is Xeomin?
Xeomin is another neurotoxin that blocks the release of chemicals that cause muscle contractions which in time create frown lines. It is used to soften these lines and create a more youthful look.
How long does Xeomin last?
On average, Xeomin can last for approximately three months. Additionally, the duration is dependent on placement. Treatment in the upper face or forehead area usually lasts for three months; around the mouth which has frequent movements can last anywhere between two to three months; the neck bands can last longer for up to four months; the axillary for hyperhidrosis can last 6 months or longer.
Where can Xeomin be injected?
Xeomin can be used to temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It can also be used to treat conditions such as chronic migraines, lazy eye, TMJ pain, and hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating).
What are the possible side effects?
The majority of side effects include localized swelling, pain, or bruising at the site of injection, which are all temporary. These side effects can be minimized with proper injecting techniques by a well-trained, certified physician.
